do i need to fill the screw holes afer i fasten deck

i am building a deck, have installed all of he sub fream and joists, and now simply need to fasten the deck boards on. if i pre-drill and countersink the screw holes, should i drive the screw below the surface of the board and back fill with something, or should i leave them flush with the surface? thanks mat
